Current Event

NASA is planning another trip to Mars, but not with people. The workers at the space station are planning to send a rover to the Red Planet in 2009. While there, this large rover will be exploring the Martain plains. The rover will examine the rocks to see if the Red Planet can support microbial life. The NASA scientists hope that this new rover will bulid on the success that the twin rovers made. Putting in an expected two billion dollars for the whole project, NASA is working very hard on this rover.

This is the Martain plains on Mars

The project that NASA is working on now is very important to advancing science. If the new rover can find more information supporting the fact that life can survive on Mars, it would open a whole new area in the science world. Launching this rover to the surface of Mars is very important for the advance of science.
