The Artic is Melting?
Global warming is the major concern for preservign our Earth, but is the damage already done? Some say the answer is yes. Well atlest that is what Professor Peter Wadhams says. Acording to his research, the Arctic will be almost ice-free in the summer. This prediction will occur in about a decade, and in twenty to thirty years, the Acrtic will be completely ice-free. Global warming is causing a great amount of the sea ice in the Arctic to melt. Once the ice melts a greater deal of the ocean is open to the sunlight and that warms the waters so it's more difficult for ice to reform there again in the winter. This creates a cycle of increased sea ice melt. In the past three years, the sea ice cover in the Arctic were the three lowest of all time. With this data it is pretty possible that Professor Peter Wadhams theory could come true.

Our Earth can only do so much to support the growing human race, but now that we are becoming so advanced it si starting to look like our planet can't keep up with us. We are a main cause of global warming, and destroying Earth. If the sea ice in the Arctic does melt, the whole planet will have a huge issue on their hands. As human, we have to be smarter and think before we act. We have to find some way to preserve Earth and even try to find ways to reverse all the damage that we have casued. If we fail to do so, the many theories about all the ice melting will come true and who knows what will happen then. It's our responsibility to take care of this planet and we need to step up and work a little bit harder to do so.

Wow nice job. I really learned a lot I did not know global warming was at bad as it is.
ReplyDeleteThis article has enhanced my knowledge about global warming. It also expresses the importance of taking car of the planet. Like babybblue14 said, we are the main reason of glabl warming. People should strive to recycle as much as we can and to anything possible to help Earth.
ReplyDeleteWe should step up to save the Earth because we don't have much time. Before we know it all the ice will be melted and the only time you will be able to see a polar bear is in the zoo. Think about our grandchildren we would want them to be able to see polar bears outside of the zoo, too.
ReplyDeleteI liked you article and belived that it proved a good point to those who dont belive global warming is a big deal. I support your ieads and liked your picture, it showed what damage has already happened. Nice work!!!
ReplyDeleteThis article you chose really helped to explain more about global warming. You always hear about it, but no one ever exlain the consepuences of it. I think we all need to step up and hlp preserve our earth.
